As of this snapshot, comparemobiles.pk tracks 63 phones with a real, checkout-able price of Rs. 50,000 or less. That's not a curated "best budget phones" list — it's every sub-50K phone in our catalog with a confirmed retailer price, specs included. Pulling all of them into one place surfaces a few things that browsing listing pages one at a time never quite shows you. (Numbers below reflect this snapshot — check the live list linked at the end for the current count.)
It's really an itel, Infinix, and Tecno market

Three brands — itel, Infinix, and Tecno — account for 46 of those 63, nearly three-quarters of this snapshot. itel alone fields 25 models, which means "which sub-50K phone" is very often actually "which itel phone," whether shoppers realize it or not. Samsung, Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Redmi, Honor, and Poco are all present, but usually with one or two entries defending the segment rather than competing across it.
5G shows up at Rs. 12,499 — and skips plenty of pricier phones
11 of those 63 support 5G. The cheapest one isn't close to the top of the bracket: the Tecno Spark Go, at Rs. 12,499, runs a Dimensity 6400 with 5G, a 120Hz display, and a 6000mAh battery — cheaper than a dozen 4G-only phones in the same list. Meanwhile several phones priced well above Rs. 30,000 are still 4G-only.
The takeaway: in this bracket, 5G tracks the chipset a manufacturer chose for that specific model, not the price tag. Don't assume paying more buys you 5G — check the actual chipset line, because plenty of Unisoc T-series chips popular in this segment are 4G-only regardless of what else the phone has.
AMOLED exists under Rs. 50K — and itel ships more of it than anyone
Only 5 of those 63 have an AMOLED display: the itel S23+, itel S25, itel S25 Ultra, Tecno Spark 30 Pro, and Infinix Note 40S. itel alone accounts for three of the five, priced between Rs. 32,799 and Rs. 45,299.
The itel S25 in particular (Rs. 33,999) lists an AMOLED panel with 1200 nits (HBM) and 1800 nits peak brightness — figures that would have been flagship-tier a few years ago — while several phones costing more in the same list are still on plain IPS LCD. Display quality in this bracket doesn't rise in a straight line with price; it depends entirely on which specific model you land on.
Megapixel count stops meaning anything around Rs. 34,000
At almost the same price point — Rs. 31,999 to Rs. 34,899 — the rear camera on offer ranges from 8MP (Infinix Smart 10 Plus, Realme C100i) to 13MP (Redmi A7, Redmi A7 Pro 4G) to 32MP (Redmi A7 Pro, 5G). None of these numbers tell you which one actually takes a better photo — that comes down to the sensor and image processor behind the megapixel count, which a spec sheet's headline number doesn't show. Across that 63-phone snapshot, rear cameras range from 8MP to 108MP with no consistent relationship to price at all. Treat the MP number as marketing copy, not a comparison metric.
Charging speed is the differentiator nobody markets as hard
Wired charging speeds in this bracket span 10W to 45W — a 4.5x difference — with no consistent link to price. The itel P55+ hits 45W charging (70% in 30 minutes) at just Rs. 26,999, while phones costing nearly twice as much are still shipping 15–18W chargers. If daily charging time matters more to you than almost any other spec on this list, it's worth checking directly rather than assuming a pricier phone charges faster.
What to actually check, in order
- Chipset and network band first — a 50MP camera on a 4G-only Unisoc entry chip is a different phone than the same megapixel count on a 5G Dimensity chip, even at an identical price.
- Display type, not just size — "6.7-inch IPS LCD, 120Hz" and "6.7-inch AMOLED, 120Hz" show up at similar prices in this segment; only one of them is AMOLED.
- Charging wattage — the single biggest real-world quality-of-life gap in this bracket, and the easiest one to miss on a listing page that leads with camera and RAM.
